REMOTE IT SUPPORT ENGINEER

FULL TIME REMOTE POSITION - UK HOURS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide remote technical support to clients & users in UK & EU
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand and resolve problems.
  • Vendor management and adept at coordinating with internal application teams to troubleshoot issues.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum educational qualification of an Undergraduate degree or higher Diploma level.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Remote MSP Support Engineer.
  • Good command of English language, both speaking and writing.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Sound knowledge and ability to diagnose and resolve DNS-related issues efficiently.
  • Strong troubleshooting and familiarity with domain registrar platforms and services.
  • Good knowledge in domain registration processes, domain transfer procedures, WHOIS database, DNS management interfaces, and domain expiration/renewal processes
  • Hands on experience in DNS configurations of websites, email servers, and other online services.
  • Awareness of security best practices related to DNS, such as DNS filtering, DNS spoofing prevention, DDoS protection, etc.
  • A strong foundation in networking knowledge is required (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, routing, and switching)
  • Hands on Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Operating Systems or Linux Servers.
  • Hands on Experience with cloud technologies like Office 365 Admin, AWS, Azure Admin, Google Workspace Admin.
  • Hands on Experience with FTP/SSL/DNS/ Word Press/Power Shell Scripting/HyperV/IMAP/SMTP/PHP MyAdmin / SQL Server Management
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary for interacting with clients, understanding their requirements, and providing timely support.
  • Patience and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users are valuable.
  • Preference will be given to applicant who has experience in providing remote support to domain Registrar and has experience in working with Domain Management dashboard, Name server management, WHOIS tools and related billing/payment management portal.
