Executive Chef
Qualifications and requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Executive chef or similar role in a luxury resort or luxury boutique hotel
- A qualification in the fine culinary Arts from a recognized institute
- Extensive knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the highest quality in food preparation, plating, and presentation
- In-depth knowledge of costing, menu planning, and menu creation
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork and collaboration
- The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Roles & Responsibilities:
- All kitchen functions including food purchasing, preparation, and maintenance of quality standards, training of employees, plate presentation, portioning, cost control, and cleanliness
- Ensuring that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the hotel's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards to ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction
- Monitoring inventory levels, minimizing waste, and controlling food costs
- Creating, innovating, and developing new and unique culinary creations that complement the concept of the hotel
- Recruiting, training, and supervising a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff while providing guidance and mentoring to foster professional growth and maintain a positive work environment
- Maintaining quality standards on Good Manufacturing practices and good hygiene practices
