Asst. Electrical Engineer

As an Asst. Electrical Engineer with experience in wind and solar energy, you will play a vital role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of renewable energy systems. You will contribute to the development of wind and solar projects, ensuring efficient energy generation and distribution while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and engineering of electrical systems for wind and solar energy projects, including power generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications for renewable energy installations.
  • Participate in the selection and procurement of electrical equipment and components for wind turbines, solar panels, inverters, transformers, and balance of system (BOS) components.
  • Evaluate technical specifications, performance characteristics, and cost considerations to optimize equipment selection for project requirements.
  • Support the integration of electrical components and systems within wind and solar energy projects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry standards applicable to electrical engineering activities in renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including project managers, mechanical engineers, and construction crews, to coordinate electrical engineering activities within project timelines and budgets.
  • Communicate project updates, milestones, and technical issues to stakeholders and team members as needed.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, technical documentation, and project reports to document design decisions, calculations, and test results.
  • Maintain accurate records of project documentation, drawings, and revisions for future reference and compliance purposes.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on wind and solar project systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment used in wind and solar power plants.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical engineering in the renewable energy sector.
