LIBRARY ASSISTANT (COLOMBO/KANDY)
The key focus of this role is to provide a range of quality customer-focused services and assist library patrons in their learning/research.
ROLE PROFILE
- Assist with administrative tasks relating to acquisition, circulation, and maintenance of library materials
- Maintain accurate records on library usage, acquisition, circulation, and maintenance
- Sort books, publications, and other items according to established procedures and arrange them in shelves, files, or other designated storage areas
- Assist patrons to locate library materials
PERSON PROFILE
- Diploma/part qualification in Library and Information Science with 1-3 years' experience or fresh graduates who are keen to pursue a career in Library and Information Service
- Experience in using computer applications
- Excellent communication and PR skills
- Excellent team working and customer service skills
