Factory Manager
Company Overview:
Independent Packaging (Pvt) Ltd is a well-equipped state of art production line capable of manufacturing paper bags with value addition to cater for various industries from Fashion Stores, Food Outlets to events with a capacity over 5 million bags per month.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop Production Schedules and ensure timely execution to meet the customer orders and forecasts.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust production as needed to meet inventory targets.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and management.
- Identify and address challenges proactively.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Recruit, train and supervise production supervisors and operators.
- Foster a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.
- Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Production Manager/Factory Manager.
- Previous experience in Paper Sacks/Bags manufacturing is a plus.
- Ability to grasp the dynamics of machine functions is a must.
- Excellent organizational, time management and leadership skills.
- Good communication skills in English and Sinhalese.
- Computer Literacy and able to work in MS Office and email.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
- Strong Decision making skills and results-driven approach.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
