Head of Commercial
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Head of Commercial at Cinnamon Air; owned, operated, and managed by Saffron Aviation Pvt Ltd, Sri Lanka's premier domestic airline and the only airline to operate scheduled flights from Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport to key tourist destinations in the island.
In this role, the Head of Commercial will play a pivotal role in the strategic management and operational success of Cinnamon Air. This position is responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of the airline's business to drive revenue growth, enhance customer experience, and ensure market competitiveness.
Additionally, the position requires to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue by identifying target markets, customer segments, and promotional opportunities. Lead pricing strategy development with CEO and utilize revenue management tools to optimize revenue and analyze sales performance for efficiency. Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with hotels, tour operators, corporate clients, and airlines to expand distribution channels. Monitor financial KPIs and implement cost-control measures to align commercial operations with budgetary expectations. Deliver regular financial reports and updates to senior management, ensuring transparency on commercial performance and profitability.
The ideal candidate for this position should be a strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and proven experience in commercial leadership roles within the aviation industry or related sectors, focusing on sales, revenue management, and marketing. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to effectively present ideas and proposals to key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
