Job Summary:

As a Program Officer for Kansarmen S L Foundation, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and preparing compelling proposals to secure funding from various sources including grants, foundations, governmental agencies, and other donors. You will work closely with Operation manager, finance staff, and other stakeholders to develop proposals that effectively communicate the organization's mission, objectives, and impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential funding opportunities from diverse sources including government grants, foundations, corporate sponsors, and individual donors.
  • Develop clear, concise, and compelling proposals in response to funding opportunities, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic priorities and programmatic objectives.
  • Write and edit proposals, concept notes, letters of inquiry, and other related documents in a professional and persuasive manner, adhering to donor guidelines and requirements.
  • Work with finance staff to develop accurate and realistic project budgets, ensuring that all costs are adequately justified and aligned with the proposed activities.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, funding agencies, and other key stakeholders to enhance funding opportunities and support for the organization's programs and initiatives.
  • Assist in monitoring the progress of funded projects and preparing regular reports for donors, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Keep abreast of trends, best practices, and developments in fundraising, proposal writing, and donor relations, and share relevant information with colleagues.
  • Develop marketing materials for the use of fundraising purpose.
  • Preparing budgets, presentations and progress reports for projects and also government institutional.
  • Attending meetings with donors and governmental institutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing, grant writing, or fundraising for nonprofit organizations, preferably in the international development sector.
  • Familiarity with donor regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from diverse sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
