VACANCY FIRE / SAFETY OFFICER
Job Scope:
- Conducting Fire/Safety audits to ensure compliance with fire/safety policies, advising corrective & preventive actions and follow-up the suggested actions.
- Promoting safety at work and an instinct on identification of unsafe conditions & behaviors, hazards, and risk assessment.
Eligibility to Apply:
- B.Sc. degree (Engineering or Physical Science) from a recognized university with 2 years' experience in shipyard, oil rigs, refinery, or similar industry, or
- IFE Level 3 Diploma (GIFireE) in UK with 5 years' experience in shipyard, oil rigs, refinery, or similar capacities.
- Sound knowledge of Fire Prevention & Rescue Operation.
- Good experience in Servicing & Maintenance of Fire Equipment and protection systems.
- Sound knowledge of ISO 45001 and other relevant Standards, Marine safety regulations and equipment repairs, and the processes of Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment.
Upper Age Limit: 50 years
General Conditions:
- Good organizing and resource management skills, especially labor and material.
- Good working knowledge of English both spoken & written.
- Computer literacy and ability to work in an IT driven culture.
- Highly motivated & energetic individual with good physique and ready to work under extremely challenging/demanding conditions, including working late hours, weekends, and holidays as and when required.
- Good team player with sound leadership & interpersonal skills.
The selected candidates will initially be appointed on a Fixed Term Contract basis.
