We are seeking an experienced and innovative Irrigation Engineer to join our team. The Irrigation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing irrigation systems to support agricultural, landscaping, and environmental projects. The successful candidate will bring expertise in water management, irrigation technologies, and sustainable practices to optimize water use and promote efficient irrigation solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 01 Irrigation System Design: Develop and customize irrigation system designs tailored to the specific requirements of agricultural, commercial, or residential landscapes, incorporating factors such as soil type, plant water needs, and topography.
  • 02 Water Resource Management: Assess water availability and conduct water resource evaluations to ensure efficient utilization of water for irrigation, while considering environmental conservation and sustainability goals.
  • 03 Irrigation Equipment Selection: Specify and select irrigation equipment, including pumps, pipes, valves, and controllers, based on project requirements and objectives, while emphasizing water efficiency and performance.
  • 04 Installation and Implementation: Oversee the installation and configuration of irrigation systems, ensuring precision in equipment placement, hydraulic calculations, and system optimization for even water distribution.
  • 05 Irrigation Automation and Control: Design and integrate irrigation automation and control systems, utilizing technologies such as sensors, weather-based controllers, and remote monitoring to improve water use efficiency and adapt to environmental conditions.
  • 06 Water Distribution Analysis: Conduct hydraulic analysis and water distribution evaluations to verify system uniformity, pressure requirements, and water application rates, and recommend adjustments for optimal performance.
  • 07 Irrigation Scheduling and Programming: Develop irrigation schedules and programming sequences to align with plant water requirements, climate data, and evapotranspiration rates, promoting water conservation and plant health.
  • 08 Sustainable Practices: Integrate sustainable irrigation practices, such as drip irrigation, micro-sprinklers, and soil moisture monitoring, to minimize water waste and enhance environmental stewardship.
  • 09 Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide expertise in troubleshooting irrigation system issues, conducting maintenance inspections, and implementing corrective measures to ensure continuous system functionality.
  • 10 Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with water regulations, permits, and environmental standards related to irrigation practices and water management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 01 Education: Bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field. Master's degree in irrigation engineering is a plus.
  • 02 Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in irrigation system design, implementation, and management, with a proven track record of successful irrigation projects.
  • 03 Irrigation Technology Knowledge: Profound understanding of irrigation technologies, including drip irrigation, sprinkler systems, center pivots, and smart irrigation control systems, along with proficiency in irrigation software and hydraulic modeling tools.
  • 04 Water Resources Expertise: Solid grasp of water resource management principles, water conservation strategies, and proficiency in water distribution analysis for agricultural and landscape irrigation applications.
  • 05 Project Management Skills: Strong project management abilities, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of irrigation projects from concept to completion.
  • 06 Sustainability Focus: Commitment to sustainable water management practices, environmental conservation, and the application of energy-efficient and water-saving irrigation techniques.
  • 07 Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project stakeholders, clients, and multidisciplinary teams, while providing comprehensive technical guidance and support.
  • 08 Problem-Solving Abilities: Effective problem-solving skills, with the capacity to analyze complex irrigation challenges and develop innovative solutions to optimize water use and system performance.
  • 09 Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local, state, and federal water regulations, permitting processes, and environmental compliance requirements related to irrigation projects.
