Vacancy for Junior Accountant/Accountant

Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Accountant/Accountant for the office based in Colombo 06, Sri Lanka.
- The Junior Accountant/Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, accounts finalization, and implementing accounting systems.
- Junior Accountant/Accountant will also assist with tax calculation and filing and Withholding Tax.
Requirements
- Fully qualified in AAT or Fully/Partly qualified in ACCA, CIMA, CMA or ICASL.
- Strong knowledge in Accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial management and bookkeeping.
- Experience with tax calculation and filing, including VAT and Zakat. Familiar with Withholding Tax and compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in payroll management and related accounting provisions. Experience with accounting packages like Zoho, Xero and QuickBooks.
- Work hours would be 8.30 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.
