UNITED CONSTRUCTION CONSORTIUM
QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Efficiently manage and oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Review construction plans and specifications to determine quantity requirements.
- Analyze maintenance and material costs, and negotiate contracts for optimal terms.
- Act as the primary point of contact for site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Prepare contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and related documentation.
- Monitor material inventory and initiate orders as necessary.
- Document design changes and adjust budget forecasts accordingly.
- Estimate and forecast the costs of required materials.
- Track modifications to design or construction work and update budget projections.
- Assess and evaluate the work completed on-site.
- Travel between project sites as necessary to provide support and oversight.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of the market conditions of construction materials, rates, and processes.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala, both written and verbal.
