Junior IT Support Engineer
The role will responsible for provide technical support for all departments and ensure the smooth operation of the company while monitoring and maintaining the company IT infrastructure facilities, install and configure hardware and software, and provide solutions for technical problems.
Role Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree or professional qualification in IT or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of working experience as an IT support engineer or in a similar role.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripherals, providing technical assistance to end-users.
- Monitor and maintain computer networks, including LANS and WANS, troubleshooting network connectivity issues and supporting network devices.
- Install, configure, and manage servers, ensuring optimal performance and implementing security measures to protect data.
- Address email-related issues, ensuring data integrity and availability in case of system failures or disasters, and protecting against cyber threats.
- Configure and maintain virtual machines, participate in IT projects, and collaborate with departments to meet their IT needs.
- Excellent team player, Proven leadership to inspire and drive processes to achieve company goals/objectives.
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills coupled up with good PR skills with key stakeholders. (Ex: Internal departments, Clients, External parties, Government bodies and port related authorities)
- Ability to be based in Hambantota and work extended hours where it necessary.
