Deputy General Manager - Wind and Solar Power Projects

As the Deputy General Manager of Wind and Solar Power Projects, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from initial development and approvals to implementation and operation. Working closely with the General Manager, you will provide leadership, strategic direction, and technical expertise to ensure the successful planning, execution, and management of wind and solar power plants from inception to operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of wind and solar power projects, including site identification, feasibility studies, land acquisition, and permitting processes.
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities, landowners, and local communities to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project development.
  • Oversee the technical planning and design of wind and solar power plants, including layout optimization, equipment selection, and system integration.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in renewable energy project design.
  • Manage all aspects of construction activities for wind and solar power projects, including procurement, contractor selection, and site supervision.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Implement quality assurance and control measures to uphold the highest standards of construction, installation, and commissioning in wind and solar power plants.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and performance evaluations to verify compliance with project specifications and requirements.
  • Develop operational plans and procedures for wind and solar power plants, including maintenance schedules, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting protocols.
  • Establish partnerships with maintenance service providers and equipment suppliers to ensure reliable and efficient operation of renewable energy assets.
  • Enforce safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the health, safety, and sustainability of wind and solar power projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to minimize hazards and environmental impacts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project resources to maximize efficiency and return on investment.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, construction, and operation, with a focus on wind and solar power.
  • Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of renewable energy project lifecycle, from approvals and development to implementation and operation.
