Executive - Bonding
- Must ensure that daily and monthly production targets are achieved at the expected level of quality in the assigned area
- Should attend pre-production and pilot appraisal meetings, to educate machine operators, production supervisors and in line quality checkers on product and quality specification
- Should identify and solve issues with regard to shortfalls and nonconformances, educating and guiding machine operators to eliminate the root causes of product variations to minimize and to manufacture the right product
- Must ensure minimum machine breakdowns, work stoppages and idle time
- Should monitor the efficiency of the operators, educate, encourage and guide them together with the supervisor to maintain planned efficiency and output levels and to ensure the on-time delivery of quality outputs
- Must follow up on fabric/ garment test reports and improve required areas
Person Specifications
- Degree in Textile Clothing or Garment Technology or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar capacity
- Thorough knowledge in types of fabric used for bonding operations
- Sound knowledge of bonding techniques, lamination process and slitting process
- Fair knowledge of bonded garment production, quality levels and the garment manufacturing process
- Proficient understanding of adhesive thickness against the fabric combinations
