Vacancy - Senior Quantity Surveyor (Pre-Contract)

Job Location - Dehiwala, Sri Lanka / Hybrid
Job Description:
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for meticulously assessing project requirements, conducting detailed cost estimations, and providing strategic guidance to support successful project delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage teams of up to 10 Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors on a day-to-day basis
- Attend all progress and relevant stakeholder meetings making pre-contract representation
- Be proficient in Standard methods of Measurement, Quantification, Cost Planning and Estimating, and Pricing Schedule (Bills of Quantities) preparation including SMM7, POMI, NRM 1 and 2
- CostX experience is a Must
- Monitor progress and ensure compliance with the agreed programme
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Manage risk register and mitigate potential events
- Chair meetings and ensure reports are a true and accurate reflection of project status
Experience:
- Minimum Ten (10) years of Quantity Surveying/Cost Management and related experience in Pre Contracts
- Middle East experiences and Quantity Surveying professional accreditation memberships will be given priority
- Must have previously managed commercial delivery of significant Pre-Contract services
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong familiarity with Cost Management software tools (CostX and CubiCost), Pre-contracts, methodologies, and best industry practices
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, and timeline
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
