POST OF FABRIC QUALITY ASSURANCE EXECUTIVE
Are you passionate about maintaining high standards in fashion, including performance wear? Do you possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Fabric Quality Assurance Executive for a leading USA fashion brand's operations in Sri Lanka.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of various types of fabrics, including cotton, polyester, silk, blends, and performance wear fabrics, to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to address any quality issues related to fabric texture, color, strength, durability, and performance characteristics, and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols specific to each fabric type, including specialized testing for performance wear fabrics, to optimize quality and consistency.
- Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance overall efficiency and quality, tailored to the unique characteristics of each fabric, including performance wear materials.
- Maintain detailed records of quality assessments for different fabric types, including performance wear fabrics, and provide timely reports to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fabric quality assurance within the fashion industry, preferably with exposure to international brands.
- Strong knowledge of various fabric types, including performance wear fabrics, their properties, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with international quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and cultures.
- Proficiency in English and Sinhala is a must; knowledge of Tamil is a plus.
