VACANCY:
- ASSISTANT ENGINEER
We are seeking experienced, results oriented individual for the following position;
You are able to:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the day-to-day work and oversee preventive maintenance
- Assume all the responsibilities and authority of the chief engineer in his absence
- Take regular training classes for Engineering Staff
- Coordinate with outside agencies or vendors for repair and maintenance work
- Able to represent the engineering department at the HOD meeting during the absence of the Chief Engineer
- Make decisions in order to ensure successful operation
- Respond to emergencies in a timely manner
- Provide supervision and leadership to colleagues of the department
- Prepare reports, maintain inventories, and keep accurate records, order equipment, and supplies
- Stay abreast with the technological advances in surveillance and safety of equipment
- Ensure that Operational problems are promptly attended to
- Any other job or duties assigned by the management as and when required
You are with:
- Four or more years' experience in the capacity in a star-class hotel
- A degree in Engineering or similar
- Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
- The ability to remain positive and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong leadership skills and ability to train, coach, and develop team members
- Proficient in Windows, PMS, and MS Office applications
- Good knowledge of fire and life safety processes and procedures
