Material Merchandiser

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the merchandising activities, ensuring smooth coordination between various departments, and contributing to the successful execution of product strategies. Responsibilities:

  • Bring continuous newness to the business - Fabric is Key
  • Define, Develop, Negotiate & contract strategic sourcing solutions that meet business requirements and enhance profitability reducing costs & optimizing supplier chain profitability.
  • Monitor sourcing strategies in the industry & bring the best practices.
  • Assisting the team with executing new product development, proactively develop commercial trends fabrics implementing quality quality specification during trial production & beyond.
  • Keep track records & maintain the material charts & update to the cross functional teams.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, R&D, QC and Tier 1 and 2 suppliers
  • Communicate product specifications and requirements clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Textiles, Business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a textile merchandising role or relevant internship.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of merchandising software is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of market trends and customer preferences in the textile industry. Experiences in respective areas are added advantage.
