MICROBIOLOGIST
Location: Wathupitiwela
As the Microbiologist, while working with the Microbiology/QA/R&D team in maintaining systems that assure the product, environmental, and operational quality of the company by ensuring the microbiology facility for the business process is available and active at all time., you will closely work with the factory operations team in identifying and reporting microbiology standards/improvements and provide viable solutions. This position is based in our factory situated at Wathupiwela FTZ.
Key job functions:
- Evaluation of quality of products through microbiological analysis.
- Evaluation of water quality.
- Verification of cleanliness of food contact surfaces through swab testing.
- Identify possible pathogen contamination points during production, investigate sources of contamination and suggest preventive actions.
- Quality Assurance works in manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate should have the following prerequisites:
- BSc degree in Food science or Biological Science with Microbiology as a subject.
- Preference will be given for candidates who have experience on microbiological analytical works in food industries.
- Have favorable knowledge about the HACCP/ISO 22000:2005 and GMP.
- Age between 25-30.
