Assistant Manager - Warehouse & Logistics (North Western/ Southern)

Gaia Greenenergy Holdings is a Sri Lankan renewable energy development company that is working with local stakeholders and international partners on innovative solutions to implement large-scale renewable energy projects - including rooftop solar PV, ground mounted PV, floating solar plants, and pumped storage solutions.

We are looking for individuals with a strong track record of Warehouse and Logistics to lead and manage our warehouse operations and logistics team. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while ensuring that logistics operations are running smoothly. This role requires a strong background & experience in warehouse management and logistics operations.
Candidates in close proximity to the given location will be given preference.
Responsibilities
- Explore, Tie-up & manage warehouse & logistics partners.
- Manage and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including distribution and receiving, order picking, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse and logistics processes to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and security standards in the warehouse and logistics operations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor and implement changes to optimize warehouse and logistics operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory levels, orders, and deliveries.
- Develop and manage budgets for the warehouse and logistics operations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as technical and finance teams, to ensure that warehouse and logistics operations support the overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or a suitable qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Experience in warehouse management and logistics operations.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
- Knowledge of ERP would be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
