RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and prepare menus, ensuring variety and quality in all meals.
- Cook and present dishes to high standards of taste and aesthetics.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to culinary techniques and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory, including ordering and replenishing stock as needed.
- Monitor and control food costs and minimize waste.
- Report any kitchen equipment issues or maintenance needs.
- Stay updated with culinary trends and incorporate new techniques and recipes as appropriate.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Creativity and a passion for food.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen duties consistently.
