RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and prepare menus, ensuring variety and quality in all meals.
  • Cook and present dishes to high standards of taste and aesthetics.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to culinary techniques and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and replenishing stock as needed.
  • Monitor and control food costs and minimize waste.
  • Report any kitchen equipment issues or maintenance needs.
  • Stay updated with culinary trends and incorporate new techniques and recipes as appropriate.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Creativity and a passion for food.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen duties consistently.
