ASSISTANT DIRECTOR ENGINEERING

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director, Engineering to join Cinnamon Life, the much anticipated 1 billion USD project, opening in late 2024. Cinnamon Life is part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka's largest Hotel owner with a portfolio of 15 Hotels and Resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holdings PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
Reporting to the Director, Facilities, the Assistant Director, Engineering will assist with directing and controlling the Resort's overall Engineering function (Hotel, Mall, Residential, and Office spaces), as well as ensure that all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, cooling, and building structures are in compliance with Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts SOPs, with a critical focus on the Complex's pre-opening set up. Your responsibilities will include, but certainly not be limited to, budgeting, Cost Management and maintaining brand standards alongside departmental financial controls. Further, you will manage risks while upholding the safety standards of the Resort.
You will liaise with your engineering team as well as all other divisions and service partners to ensure the successful implementation of all engineering systems, business solutions, infrastructure, and property maintenance. As the Assistant Director, Engineering, you will ensure the safety and comfort of guests, as well as the courteous and efficient management of any service requests.
