SENIOR/SEMI SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Our client is looking for a dynamic, innovative, result-oriented individual to join their team. The role needs strong communication skills and will have regular and independent communication with management, peers in finance and other business functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee the general ledger functions and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze variances between actuals and budget/forecast and provide insights
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
- Oversee the accounts payable, receivable processes and manage cash flow and ensure timely collections and payments
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Fully Qualified Professional in CA/ACCA/CIMA/CMA or Bachelor's/Masters degree in Accounting/Finance
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in public accounting and/or in a senior accounting role preferred (Being a Certified Public Accountant would be advantageous)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, attention to detail and communication skills Candidate must be able to work according to UK based working shifts
