Quantity Surveyor
Qualifications
- ⚫ A minimum qualification such as a BSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is required
- ⚫ A civil engineering background along with quantity surveying experience is preferred
- ⚫ Proven experience as a quantity surveyor, preferably in Civil & MEP
- ⚫ Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to analyze technical and practical situations within projects and make sound decisions
- ⚫ Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, contract administration, and construction cost administration
- ⚫ The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- • Prepare tender documents, bill of quantity, and contract documents for procurement activities
- • Conduct detailed cost estimations and budget planning for civil work, including material, labor, and overhead costs
- • Evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage subcontractor payments
- • Monitor project expenditure, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost control measures to optimize the project's financial performance
