BANKING ASSOCIATE / SENIOR BANKING ASSOCIATE /
- FINANCE AND PLANNING
The job holder is responsible for computation of impairment provisions on loans and advances for financial statements as per the regulatory guidelines and the impairment policy of the Bank.
THE JOB
- Prepare stage 3 portfolio in accordance with the CBSL guidelines and impairment policy of the Bank by obtaining business line confirmations for the system classification of non-performing contracts (stage 3 contracts) where necessary.
- Perform the computations of impairment provisions of the lending portfolio of the Bank.
- Provide information to various internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies.
- Prepare and record accounting entries for monthly financial statements.
- Perform GL reconciliations relevant to impairment provisions in accordance with the GL reconciliation policy of the Bank.
- Prepare disclosure notes for quarterly/annual publications of financial statements.
THE PERSON
- Full/Part qualification in CASL/ACCA or equivalent educational or professional qualifications.
- Possess minimum 3 years' experience in banking sector / finance field.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the accounting standards, CBSL regulations will be an added advantage.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
