TRAINEE COUNSELLOR - EMPLOYEE WELLBEING CENTRE
RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES
- Assessing clients and identifying their problems.
- Implementing individualized treatment programs, monitoring client progress, and modifying their treatment plans as needed.
- Undertaking psychometric testing.
- Evaluating client responses to treatment over time and reporting to the leader.
- Coordinate follow-up sessions with clients.
- Coordinate with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers, and community outreach programs to provide clients with needed services.
- Keeping a detailed account of the client's mental health history.
- Maintaining confidential client's records.
- Supporting clients to develop solutions to their ongoing challenges.
- Engaging with employees during the section visit and being aware of their undiagnosed mental illnesses.
- Conducting and assessing mental health awareness programs.
- Provide counselling to clients as required.
- Maintaining the client's confidentiality.
- Operate within the ethical framework of counselling when interacting with clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Counselling, or Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Diploma in Counselling from a recognized university/institute.
- One year clinical experience in counselling practice at government hospital.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in both English and Sinhala languages required.
- Strong computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, Canua, etc.
