Job Description
- Collaborate with designers to understand and interpret design briefs and technical specifications.
- Provide technical guidance on garment construction, fabric selection, and production methods.
- Coordinate the development of initial samples and prototypes.
- Evaluate samples for fit, construction, and overall quality.
- Make recommendations for improvements and ensure that changes are implemented.
- Monitor the sample production process to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Resolve technical issues that arise during production to minimize delays and ensure product quality.
- Conduct quality control checks at various stages of production.
- Conduct factory visits to oversee production and troubleshoot issues.
- Address and resolve any quality issues or defects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including tech packs, specifications, and quality reports.
- Provide detailed reports on production status, quality issues, and corrective actions.
Requirement
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in garment technology or a similar role in the apparel industry.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and production processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using garment design and production software (e.g., CAD, PLM systems).
- Ability to work effectively and meet tight deadlines.
