- Job Title: Sous Chef
- Location: Colombo 05
- Employment Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Assist daily kitchen operations.
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to culinary standards.
- Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all dishes.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating processes.
- Maintain kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Handle and resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly.
- Monitor food costs and work towards minimizing waste.
- Participate in kitchen staff training programs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Completed a Diploma or NVQ level qualification with minimum of 5-10 Years' experience (Local or Overseas) in a similar field & capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine.
- Male Candidates around 40-50 years are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills & Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
