JOB VACANCY FOR SUPERVISOR POST - ECO PLANTATIONS LANKA (PVT) LTD
COMPANY PROFILE:
We are a well-established group of companies involved in aquaculture, aquarium fish breeding, and exotic bird breeding, based in the Biyagama area. Our company requires responsible, energetic staff members for the following listed job.
JOB PROFILE:
This is a total field job that requires you to work on-site. Those who apply should be team players who are self-motivated, ready to work hard in the field, eager to learn, and perform under competitive and demanding atmospheres.
All applicants will go through a 3-month training period where trainees will be given tasks to gain firsthand experience in their job. The training period will comprise of:
- First month: all applicants will have to manually work with more experienced staff members. The first month will not include any training on supervision work.
- Second month: All applicants will be taught skills on supervision and will continue to work manually with experienced staff.
- Third month: A full-month training on supervision and related skills
RESPONSIBILITIES: THIS IS A FIELD JOB THAT REQUIRES ON-SITE
- Manage and assist in the management of birds and fish
- Supervise and instruct staff on all related matters of husbandry for live birds and fish
- Maintain related documents, stocks, and records
- Coordinate with staff members to achieve the best productivity
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
- Male or Female - below 40 years
- Completed GCE A/L or Higher
- Experience in the field of aquaculture and exotic birds is an added qualification
- Ability to work on weekends and public holidays
- Ability to stay in shared quarters with other supervisors (Female and male quarters are set separately)
- Ability to perform under pressure and a high level of dedication
- Ability to work extended hours
OFFERED FACILITIES AND SALARY
- Salary during the training period (first 3 months) will be Rs. 30,000
- After completing the 3-month training period, successful trainees will be appointed as supervisors with a salary of Rs. 45,000
- Free food and accommodation will be provided
- Free uniforms will be provided
- 4 holidays per month
- Faster promotions and salary increments will be given based on performance
