Assistant Accountant
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Complying with all company and local accounting and financial regulations.
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
- Creating monthly reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
- Presenting data to top management, stakeholders, and other entities.
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
- Computing taxes.
- Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
- Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Liaise with internal & external auditors to complete audits in time.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Full/Partial qualification in CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CMA or AAT.
- Proven experience of 3-4 years in a reputed company.
- Sound knowledge of Accounting & Taxation.
- Experience in IFS ERP System would be an added advantage.
- Logical thinking, strong analytical background, ability to prioritize & meet deadlines.
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
- Proficient in MS Office applications & data analytics tools.
