Job Description
Position: Assistant Accountant
Location: Kandanegedara, Kuliyapitiya
Experience: Minimum 5 Years
Industry: Coconut related product manufacturing
Job type: Full-Time
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparing financial reports and statements including budget, cash flow, Profit and Loss and Balance sheet.
- Overlook the process of payments to vendors and statutory bodies.
- Coordinate with external auditors, and statutory bodies.
- Coordinate with banks for the TT, LC, Guarantees for import & export. Overlook the debtor collection from local & foreign customers. Responsible for maintaining efficient and effective liquidity management. Preparation of monthly and annual financial accounts.
- Carry out physical stock verification monthly and annually respectively.
- Physically check the Fixed Assets on a quarterly basis to verify the assets are in order and the details to have a control over the fixed assets and the same.
- Checking and recommending vouchers for payments and do the monthly reconciliation when required.
- Providing required reports to the management when required.
The ideal Candidate should possess the following attributes at a minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or business administration from a recognized university in Sri Lanka.
- Professional qualification in CIMA/CASL/ACCA.
- Minimum 5-year experience in Manufacturing industry.
- Capacity to multitask and drive for results.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
