IWS Automobiles (Pvt) Ltd is a subsidiary of IWS Holdings Private Limited, which represents globally renowned Premium Car Brands in Sri Lanka and now invites enthusiastic, result oriented individual for the following position to join our team.

WORKSHOP MANAGER

This position will manage and lead a team in allocating workload and managing the day to day operations in the automotive workshop. It requires the job holder to co-ordinate resources and liaises with internal and external key contacts to ensure work is delivered on time and to a quality standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contacting existing and new clients and canvassing business for the workshop for repairs / servicing of all brands of vehicles.
  • Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day to day operations.
  • Ensure spare parts are ordered in a timely manner for each job.
  • Ensure correct job cards are used and that time records are accurate.
  • Work closely with the workshop team to respond to client's requests for updates on the status of their jobs and keep the communication channels open to ensure information is accurate.
  • Supervising the activities of automotive service technicians to ensure efficient job performance and timely repairs.
  • Review customers service orders and inspect the quality of a technician repairs and cleanliness before the release of vehicles.
  • Review work orders and conduct periodic audit to ensure that all actions have been documented according to workshop policies and procedures.
  • Receive and review feedback from customers and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and prepare annual budget for the department and execute on approval and follow up closely during implementation.
  • Responsible for the profitability of the company.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Automotive or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' proven track record in managing an automotive workshop, vehicle related IT systems / mechatronics and hybrid batteries.
  • Extensive Knowledge of mechanical issues, warranties, service and general repairs Strong analytical, communication and inter-personal skills with administrative competence is vital for this role.
  • Computer literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft applications is essential Ability to advise customers on the required jobs in a timely, professional manner.
