Job Description

Your prime function will be: The MES Local Administrator will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and support of the Aegis Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within the organization. The role includes collaborating with various departments to ensure the MES meets the manufacturing needs, enhancing system performance, and ensuring data integrity and security.

To plan, organize, and co-ordinate the production activities within the Department according to the given priority from the customers/management and adhere to the Company rules & Regulations within the shortest possible time.

Snr. Engineer/Engineer - MES and Production

You will be responsible for:

  • Integrate MES with shop floor equipment, Hardware, and automation systems to streamline production workflows
  • Work with NPI engineering teams to integrate MES with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and support new product introductions
  • Ensure that all engineering specifications and design changes are accurately reflected in the MES
  • Ensure MES is configured to capture quality data at critical control points throughout the manufacturing process
  • Install, configure, and maintain Aegis MES software and related components. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure system reliability and availability. Apply updates, patches, and configuration changes as necessary
  • Provide technical support to MES users, resolving issues and answering queries in a timely manner. Conduct training sessions for new users and provide ongoing support for existing users to maximize system utilization. Work with IT and manufacturing teams to integrate MES with ERP systems. Customize the MES to meet business requirements, including creating and modifying reports, dashboards, and user interfaces
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of data within the MES. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights into manufacturing performance and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to identify areas for process improvement using MES data. Implement changes and enhancements to the MES to support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications needed for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Industrial manufacturing-related field
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management
  • Proficiency in .NET Framework and C# programming language
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and security best practices. Experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MES administration or a similar role
  • Experience with Aegis MES software is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
