HEAD OF MARKETING AND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

Our ambitious growth plans in the coming years require the knowledge, expertise, and skill of a professional marketer with a proven track record in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, and preferably within the 'Food' space. Previous exposure and experience in Exports will be a distinct advantage.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to lead, guide, and direct our organization's Branding, Communications, Promotions, Events, and Exports teams with a growth-oriented and a big-picture business perspective.
  • More than ten (10) years' of Branding and Marketing experience in a food or food related FMCG industry.
  • An in-depth knowledge of Digital Marketing & Advertising, Brand building, Package designing, New Product Development (NPD), PR, and Marketing Communications.
  • Ability to engage, direct and manage advertising, market research, digital marketing, creative and design agencies Previous work Exposure and experience in Export Sales in any industry.
  • An understanding of global markets and the ability to identify new export opportunities that will align with the organization's existing product portfolio, production capabilities, and technical expertise.
  • Establishing, retaining, and growing export customer relationships, and ensuring continuous growth in the export sales of the organization.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong personality and a positive attitude to achieve set objectives of the company. He/She should be a team player with excellent communications skills and be fluent in English, and Sinhala/Tamil with a high degree of computer literacy.

Possess a pleasant disposition and effective interpersonal skills to develop long-term professional relationships with all internal stakeholders, customers, and other key external partners.

Ability to analyze information and prioritize opportunities critical to the growth of the company.

Familiarity with export documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and export licenses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage respective teams and be responsible for all Branding, Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing & Advertising, ATL/BTL, and Promotional initiatives of the organization across all sales channels.
  • Will be responsible for identifying market gaps and pursue product development initiatives locally or secure partnerships with global brands to establish importing and distribution mechanisms.
  • Total responsibility of Export Sales; managing the export sales division; participation in global exhibitions; developing new export markets and achieving export revenue growth targets.
  • Lead and be responsible for the New Product Development (NPD) process.
  • Responsibility of leading the new package designing, and redesigning initiatives based on market gaps and complimenting market trends.

Will be responsible for all merchandising, outdoor branding, and marketing functions across multiple sales channels. Prepare and be responsible for marketing budgets

Planning and executing promotional campaigns across all sales channels viz Modern Trade, General Trade, B2B segment, and our network of showrooms, to ensure sales growth, enhancing brand equity.

Identify new revenue growth initiatives and business diversification opportunities, and convert them into profitable business streams.

Qualifications

  • A University Degree or professional qualification in Marketing disciplines. Sound knowledge of MS Office packages
