Cost Controller
Noku Maldives, part of IHG's Vignette Collection, is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Cost Controller to join our Finance team. The Cost Controller is responsible for establishing, maintaining and monitoring effective cost control procedures across Noku Maldives to ensure that food, beverage, operating supplies, inventory and other controllable costs are properly recorded, monitored and managed.
We are looking for a candidate who can contribute to cost control efforts and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Food & Beverage cost control
- Beverage cost and consumption control
- Inventory control and stock reconciliation
- Purchasing and receiving control
- Daily and monthly cost reporting
- Menu and recipe costing
- POS and PMS transaction verification
- Outlet control and spot checks
- Wastage, spoilage and breakage monitoring
- Staff meals, staff discounts and complimentary consumption control
- Package meal and inclusive-plan cost monitoring
- Slow-moving and non-moving inventory monitoring
- Price and purchase-cost analysis
- Cost variance analysis
- Operational equipment and selected inventory verification
- Internal control compliance
- Cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Opera.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in the Maldives resort industry is preferred but not required.
