Are you passionate about empowering students to achieve their career aspirations? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Career Guidance Counsellor to join our team on a part-time basis at our Kandy Campus.
APiIT is looking to invite to our team lecturers and educators who are passionate about using innovative and creative methods to inspire students to learn as we steer our expanding operation in NCUK International Foundation Year.
CAREER GUIDANCE COUNSELLOR (PART-TIME) KANDY
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide career guidance and counselling to students and parents, helping them make informed academic and career decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with companies and industry partners to secure internship opportunities for students.
- Plan, coordinate, and organize quarterly Career Fairs at the Kandy campus.
- Conduct workshops on:
- CV and resume writing
- LinkedIn profile development
- Interview preparation
- Personal grooming and professional etiquette
- Deliver engaging sessions on the latest industry trends, employability skills, and current job market expectations.
- Support students in developing career plans and preparing for internships and employment opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, Education, Career Guidance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in career guidance, student counselling, talent acquisition, recruitment, or a related field.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with corporate organizations
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct workshops and engage diverse student audiences.
- Knowledge of current recruitment practices, industry trends, and employability skills will be an added advantage.
- Successful candidate can look forward to an attractive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
