Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly detailed QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT to lead both our Finance Department and our Supply Chain Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing processes.
- Manage corporate cash flow, working capital, and foreign exchange exposure associated with international purchasing.
- Handle import financing instruments, including Letters of Credit (LCs), telegraphic transfers (TTs), and supplier credit negotiations.
- Ensure full compliance with national tax laws (VAT, SSCL, corporate tax, withholding tax) and financial reporting standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation, landed cost models, standard costing, and stock-reconciliation processes.
- Manage key relationships with shipping lines, clearing agents, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Optimize warehouse stock turnover, minimize demurrage/holding costs, and implement demand forecasting to reduce stockouts or over-stocking.
- Lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams across accounting and logistics.
- Optimize and enforce internal controls across procurement, warehouse management, and financial workflows.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Fully qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, and QB) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong team management abilities with a firm grip on cross-departmental coordination.
- Excellent cost analysis, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
