Join Our Dynamic Team as a Training & Assessment Quality Lead – aXcelerate LMS Learning Materials (Remote - Sri Lanka)

Australian College (RTO 91110) is an established Australian Registered Training Organisation with over 20 years’ experience delivering nationally recognised qualifications through flexible online learning.

We are seeking a methodical, technically capable professional to take day‑to‑day ownership of the quality, completeness and functionality of our learning materials, assessment resources and their delivery through aXcelerate. Your responsibility will be to ensure our course materials meet training package requirements, assessments collect the required evidence, and that students and assessors can access and use the correct resources successfully.

  • Full-time (work remotely from Sri Lanka)
  • Working hours – Australian business hours (Melbourne/Sydney)
  • Salary – Negotiable
  • Reports to – Compliance Manager
  • Works with: Trainers, assessors and support teams

About the role

  • We are undertaking a structured programme to review and strengthen our training and assessment materials and online course delivery.
  • You will investigate gaps, develop corrective actions, coordinate technical and subject matter input, and follow each issue through to an approved, tested resolution. This includes identifying why a problem occurred and improving the process to prevent it.
  • The role combines Australian vocational education compliance, assessment development, detailed quality assurance and practical LMS administration.

What you will do

Learning materials and assessment quality

  • Review learning and assessment materials for accuracy, completeness and currency.
  • Identify and correct content gaps, errors and inconsistencies.
  • Map assessments against unit requirements and evidence requirements.
  • Improve assessment questions, marking guides and practical assessment tools.
  • Ensure learning resources adequately prepare students for assessment.

aXcelerate LMS Administration and Testing

  • Maintain learning and assessment content in aXcelerate.
  • Check LMS content against approved master documents and mapping.
  • Test assessments, resources, submissions and learner access.
  • Investigate and resolve LMS content and configuration issues.
  • Manage assessment versions and changes.

Compliance and continuous improvement

  • Record and track quality and compliance issues through to resolution.
  • Escalate assessment validity, compliance and student‑impact issues.
  • Maintain version records, approvals and audit evidence.
  • Support internal reviews, validation and regulatory audits.
  • Report risks and help improve quality processes.

Essential experience and capabilities

  • More than 2 years’ relevant experience.
  • Standards for Registered Training Organisation (RTOs) 2025.
  • Experience working with LMS learning and assessment content.
  • Experience with Australian RTO learning or assessment materials.
  • Understanding of units of competency, assessment mapping, principles of assessment and rules of evidence.
  • Ability to identify, investigate and resolve issues.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

Highly regarded

  • Direct aXcelerate experience, particularly online assessment authoring, mapping, learning plans, version control and troubleshooting.
  • TAE40122 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or another relevant Australian VET credential.
  • A qualification in education, quality assurance or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting assessment validation, regulatory audits or corrective action programmes.
  • Experience coordinating improvements across trainers, assessors and student support teams.

What success looks like

  • You will establish a clear picture of outstanding issues, prioritise problems affecting students and assessment quality, deliver verified corrections, and maintain reliable alignment between approved materials and the LMS.
  • Your work will be assessed on accuracy, effective resolution, clear documentation and reduced recurrence of problems.

This is an ongoing role with substantial responsibility for course and assessment quality. As you demonstrate capability and sound judgement, there will be opportunities to take on broader quality assurance and compliance leadership responsibilities, supported by the Compliance Manager.
