UPS Engineer (Full-time)
Pacific Technologies is looking for a skilled UPS Engineer to join our technical team. The role involves installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing support for single-phase and three-phase UPS systems.
Location: Male, Maldives
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, test and commission UPS systems and associated battery solutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and corrective repairs.
- Troubleshoot UPS faults, alarms, batteries, bypass systems and power-related issues.
- Conduct site surveys, load assessments and basic power-quality checks.
- Prepare service reports, maintenance records and technical documentation.
- Provide on-site technical support and professional customer service.
- Coordinate with project teams, suppliers and customers to complete work safely and on schedule.
- Follow electrical safety procedures and applicable technical standards.
Qualifications:
- Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with UPS brands such as APC, Eaton, CyberPower, and Huawei.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of single-phase and three-phase UPS operation, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Experience with UPS systems, battery banks and critical power equipment is preferred.
- Ability to identify faults, replace components, and restore UPS systems to normal operation.
- Good communication, reporting, and customer support skills.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, single-line diagrams and safe testing practices.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work outside normal hours when required.
- PCB-level repair capability will be considered an added advantage.
Work Environment
This role requires working out of the office at various project sites, including a minimum one-year assignment on a resort island. Flexibility and adaptability to different work environments are essential.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: $750 - $1,000 USD per month (depending on experience and qualifications)
