TECHNICAL MANAGER / GARMENT TECHNICIAN
Estilo Apparel (Pvt) Ltd is looking for an experienced and technically strong Technical Manager / Garment Technician to join our manufacturing facility in Hanguranketha.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee garment construction and technical requirements from initial stage to bulk production
- Identify and implement the most efficient sewing methods and production techniques
- Prepare and validate SMVs, operation breakdowns and method studies
- Work closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve technical and construction issues
- Improve productivity through method improvement, workstation engineering and line balancing
- Guide operators, supervisors and production teams on correct sewing methods and workmanship
- Review samples, specifications and buyer requirements before production
- Support new style introduction and ensure smooth production start-up
- Identify opportunities to reduce production time, improve quality and minimize rework
- Maintain required technical and workmanship standards throughout production
Candidate Profile
- Strong experience in garment manufacturing / apparel technical operations
- Excellent knowledge of garment construction, sewing methods and industrial sewing machinery
- Strong knowledge of SMV calculation, method study and production engineering
- Experience handling technically complicated garments will be an advantage
- Ability to independently troubleshoot production and quality-related technical issues
- Strong leadership, communication and team-development skills
- Hands-on, practical and result-oriented approach
