VACANCY FOR THE POST OF PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Location: Pallekele, Kandy
Miami Exports (Pvt) Ltd is a leading manufacturer and exporter of high-quality children's apparel serving internationally recognized retail brands.
We are seeking a hands-on and results-oriented Production Supervisor to drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement on the factory floor. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of garment manufacturing, sewing operations and the ability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to achieve planned production targets.
- Monitor production lines to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely completion of orders.
- Allocate operators and resources effectively according to production requirements.
- Monitor line efficiency, production output, and operator performance.
- Identify and resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
- Ensure adherence to company production procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate closely with the Production, QA/QC, IE, Cutting, Stores, and Maintenance teams.
- Monitor absenteeism and manpower requirements and take appropriate actions.
- Ensure proper implementation of 5S, housekeeping, and workplace safety standards.
- Maintain accurate production records and provide regular updates to management.
- Coach, guide, and motivate production team members to improve productivity and performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role in the apparel/garment manufacturing industry.
- Sound knowledge of garment production processes and line operations.
- Good understanding of production planning, efficiency, quality, and manpower management.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with woven and/or knit garment production will be an added advantage.
- Candidates residing in Kandy and surrounding areas will be preferred.
