ASSISTANT MANAGER / MANAGER – ENGINEERING

BASED AT GIRITALE

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering operations, maintenance, and technical activities.
  • Ensure maximum availability and reliability of plant, machinery, utilities, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Lead troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Drive energy efficiency, cost reduction, and engineering improvement initiatives.
  • Manage engineering projects, machinery installations, modifications, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, environmental, and company standards.
  • Monitor engineering KPIs, maintenance costs, machine efficiency, and downtime.
  • Lead and develop the engineering team to achieve operational targets.
  • Coordinate with Production, IE, Quality, EHS, Finance, and other relevant functions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, technology enhancement, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Degree/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in engineering/maintenance, preferably within the apparel or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, utilities, maintenance systems, and engineering practices.
  • Experience in leading engineering teams and managing technical projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, automation, and energy management will be an added advantage.
