Assistant Financial Controller
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading the finance team within the scope of the company’s financial policies and controls in meeting the group’s strategies and objectives.
- Preparation and submission of financial and management reports in accordance with prescribed timelines.
- Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues. This will include the accurate and timely preparation of cash flow statements, management of receivables, payables, cash balances, control mechanisms and timely deposits.
- Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, inventories, hotel assets, payroll, and employee records.
- Prepare the annual budget.
- Checks fixed assets register for provision of depreciation and reconciles with general ledger.
- Complete ad hoc requests when required.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a hotel finance department at senior management level.
- A degree holder or professional qualification from recognized accounting body (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA, AAT, IAB, IFA etc.)
- Knowledge of accounting software such as SUN, PROLIFIC, BIRCHSTREET, OPERA & MICROS etc.
- High proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Previous audit experience is an added advantage.
- Time management and ability to work under pressure.
