Elegant Knitting International (Pvt) Ltd at Biyagama is a leading apparel manufacturer with a global presence, dedicated to delivering exceptional standards worldwide. We are looking for an experienced, meticulous, and proactive Accounts Executive to join our finance team.
In this role
In this role, you will take ownership of routine financial operations, focusing on the end-to-end accounts payable cycle, petty cash control, book-keeping, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate must bring proven, hands-on experience in payroll administration and statutory compliance, ensuring strict internal controls and timely disbursements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable cycle, including invoice verification, processing, and payment disbursements.
- Handle daily cash transactions, maintain petty cash records, and oversee vouchers and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate day-to-day books of accounts, ledger entries, and general financial records.
- Perform regular bank and ledger balance reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, regulations, and reporting obligations.
- Assist with month-end financial closing activities and schedule preparations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and/or qualification in professional accounting body such as CA, CIMA, ACCA or AAT.
- Minimum 2+ years of proven experience as an Accounts Executive or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- BOI related experience is an added advantage.
