GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST - PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Build Your Career in Technical Product Development
We are expanding our Product Development team and looking for technically minded professionals who take ownership, pay attention to detail and enjoy solving garment development challenges.
Work on technical workwear and outdoor garments for international markets, collaborating with customer development teams and our manufacturing teams to turn product requirements into accurate samples and production-ready specifications.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Tech Pack Review & Accuracy
Review sketches, BOMs, colourways, measurements and construction details. Identify discrepancies, clarify requirements and maintain accurate technical documentation. - Sample Development & Customer Comments
Coordinate sample development, apply and record customer comments, and verify that corrections are reflected in samples and specifications. - Garment Construction & Fit
Assess construction measurements, fit and manufacturability. Work with pattern and sample teams to resolve technical issues. - Development Ownership & Follow-up
Track development actions and timelines, flag risks early and follow outstanding issues through to resolution. - Technical Handover to Production
Prepare clear technical handovers and communicate approved specifications, changes and risks to Merchandising, QA, IE and Production.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma, Higher Diploma or Degree in Garment Technology, Apparel Production, Clothing Technology or a related field; candidates with equivalent relevant practical experience will also be considered.
- At least two years of relevant experience in garment product development, garment technology or technical sampling.
- Sound practical understanding of garment construction, measurements, fit and pattern principles.
- Ability to interpret tech packs, identify inconsistencies and accurately apply and record development changes.
- Good English communication and computer skills, with attention to detail, initiative and consistent follow-up.
AN ADVANTAGE
- Experience with technical workwear, outerwear or outdoor garments.
- Experience using garment CAD or pattern-making software.
- Exposure to Browzwear, CLO 3D or similar virtual sampling software.
- Experience using PLM systems and working directly with international customer development teams.
