Position: Junior System Administrator
myPOS Software Solutions (Pvt) Ltd is one of the key players in Point of Sales software industry with a reputation being an excellent software solutions provider. We are expanding our team and seeking right candidates for following position to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant for this full-time position will join a team of talented professionals where he/she will have opportunity to enhance their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments (on-premises and cloud).
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, groups, permissions, and Group Policies.
- Install, configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Server.
- Configure and troubleshoot network services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, routing and firewalls.
- Deploy, configure and maintain POS application servers and supporting infrastructure.
- Manage cloud infrastructure including virtual machines, networking, storage, backup and security resources.
- Monitor system health, performance and availability, and perform backup, restoration and disaster recovery.
- Apply updates, security patches and system hardening for Windows and Linux servers.
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, applications, virtualization, cloud and network issues.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and assist in projects, migrations and improvements.

Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, Networking or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of practical hands-on experience in System Administration or IT Infrastructure.
- Experience administering Windows and Linux server environments.
- Experience managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and user administration.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL (database installation, configuration and maintenance).
- Good knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, routing and firewalls.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
- Basic experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience with backup, restoration and disaster recovery solutions.
- Basic scripting knowledge using PowerShell or Bash.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to continuously learn new technologies and modern infrastructure platforms.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
