MATERIAL ENGINEER – ROAD PROJECTS
We are looking for a dynamic, qualified, experienced professional who possesses the following criteria to join our dynamic team for the post of Material Engineer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure quality control of construction materials.
- Conduct material testing in accordance with relevant standards and specifications.
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with material specifications.
- Review and approve material submittals from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with project teams regarding material quality issues.
- Maintain proper documentation of test results and quality reports.
- Liaise with laboratories for testing and certification when required.
- Identify and resolve material – related issues at site.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc. Degree in Civil Engineering/ Materials Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 05 years of experience in a similar capacity in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of material testing standards and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures and equipment.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Strong communication skills in Sinhala and English.
