Role Summary
Park Street Mews is looking for a seasoned Manager to take charge of security and overall relationships across the precinct. This is a senior, hands-on role for an accomplished hospitality professional with the maturity, composure and quiet authority to keep guests, tenants and staff feeling looked after — someone who commands respect, reads a room, and handles the unexpected with a calm, assured hand.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all security operations during operational hours, supervising and coordinating the security team to ensure the safety of guests, staff and premises.
- Serve as the senior on-site presence and first point of escalation for any incident, resolving matters discreetly and de-escalating tension before it grows.
- Build and maintain working relationships with the resident restaurateurs and tenants.
- Manage nightly closing operations, including securing the premises, and end-of-night checks.
- Liaise with local authorities, emergency services and neighbouring establishments as needed, representing the venue professionally at all times.
- Supervise and support night staff across the precinct, setting standards of conduct and stepping in where guidance is needed.
- Maintain accurate incident, security and shift-handover reports for management review.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (ideally 10+ years) in hospitality, security or venue operations, with time spent in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- A calm, authoritative presence and the interpersonal maturity to manage difficult situations and diverse personalities with tact.
- Strong relationship-management skills, comfortable dealing with tenants, guests, staff and officials alike.
- Sound judgement and decision-making under pressure, particularly in security or emergency scenarios.
- Excellent spoken communication (English & Sinhala); familiarity with the local hospitality scene is an advantage.
- Willingness to work night shifts, and weekends.
- Relevant security or first-aid certification is desirable.
