ASSISTANT MANAGER - SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT
Job Profile:
- Provide technical direction and guidance to the software development team.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
- Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality codebases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
- Lead the planning and execution of software development projects, including task estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in software development and propose their adoption where beneficial.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues that arise during the development process.
- Ensure that all software is thoroughly tested and validated before deployment.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all technical designs, system architecture, codebases, and development processes.
- Ensure that the development team adheres to proper documentation standards.
Candidate prerequisites:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Any certifications related to software development, project management, quality assurance, business analysis would be an advantage
- At least 04 years’ experience as a system developer preferably in the Bank/financial institution
- Proven experience in software development, with expertise in multiple programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
- Prior experience in a leadership or senior development role.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team
- Age: should be between 35 years to 45 years as at the closing date of applications.
