We have the following immediate vacancy with our client:
CENTRE PSYCHOLOGIST (COLOMBO)
Part-Time (3 Days/ Week + 1 Day Remote On-Call)
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Centre Psychologist to provide in-person individual and group therapy for young participants and alumni transitioning into the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessments & Therapy: Conduct psychological evaluations, design intervention plans, and deliver individual and trauma-informed group therapy.
- Crisis Support & Follow-up: Provide immediate crisis intervention and conduct ongoing follow-up sessions for graduates.
- Program & Capacity Building: Develop mental health programs and train staff/stakeholders on trauma-informed care.
- Multi-disciplinary Support: Collaborate with house staff, social workers, and educators to ensure holistic participant care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical records and report on participant progress.
- Other tasks as assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Qualifications: Master’s in Psychology/Clinical Psychology (with 1 year placement) or Bachelor’s/HND in Psychology or Counseling with supervised clinical training.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of supervised counseling experience with youth/adolescents (experience with trauma survivors preferred).
Skills & Attributes:
- Fluency in English and Sinhala (written and spoken).
- Experience with trauma-informed approaches.
- Proficient in MS Office, G Suite, and digital tools.
- Female candidates preferred (due to the sensitive nature of the demographic).
